THERAPY

I have a graduate degree in Clinical & Counseling Psychology, focused in Marriage & Family Therapy. As an MFT, I view treatment systemically. A systemic approach takes into consideration the intersections of your experienced challenges across societal, familial, cultural, & political constructs — particularly the systems under which you are oppressed or marginalized.

YOGA

My arrival “on the mat” started in 2008. Following years of self-practice, I trained in the foundations of Vinyasa yoga to begin teaching. As of 2021, I am also a Trauma-Sensitive Facilitator through the Center for Trauma & Embodiment’s certification program. Their methodology is focused on one’s internal or felt experience, and was empirically developed to complement participants’ treatment of complex trauma. Yoga’s multitude of lessons is something I enjoy bringing into work with clients.

SOMATIC HEALING

Body-based practices can strengthen neurological awareness and enhance the fundamental need for relational safety. We each have a physical body, mind & spirit. Integrating somatics with talk therapy can help heal the subtle body which links them together. Feel free to click on the links below to learn more about modalities in which I have been trained.
